
Philippa has been the editor of Organic NZ magazine since October 2008. Organic NZ is the magazine of the Soil & Health Association of New Zealand, and is packed with useful information for organic gardeners, farmers and consumers. It's published every two months.
Philippa also edits and proofreads books and other documents on a freelance basis for publishing houses, organisations and individuals.
In 1995 Philippa completed a Certificate in Publishing at Whitireia Polytechnic; the course covered all aspects of publishing, including editing. She then worked for six years at the Otago University Press as the publicist. Her strong language and communication skills, combined with her professional experience in the publishing industry, make her well-qualified to edit and assess manuscripts.
She has a love of languages and has studied German, French, Japanese and Maori, which has proved useful in her editing work. She also has smatterings of other Asian and European languages.
