Philippa Jamieson - Editor Editor

Organic NZ Sept/Oct 2011I have been the editor of Organic NZ magazine since October 2008. Organic NZ is the magazine of the Soil & Health Association of New Zealand, and is packed with useful information for organic gardeners, farmers and consumers. It's published every two months.

I also edit and proofread books and other documents on a freelance basis for publishing houses, organisations and individuals.

In 1995 I completed a Certificate in Publishing at Whitireia Polytechnic; the course covered all aspects of publishing, including editing. I then worked for six years at the Otago University Press as the publicist, and began editing on a freelance basis in 2004.

My strong language and communication skills, combined with my professional experience in the publishing industry, make me well-qualified to edit and assess manuscripts. I have a love of languages and have studied German, French, Japanese and Maori, which has proved useful in my editing work. I also have smatterings of other Asian and European languages.

My editing services include:

My clients include book and magazine publishers, government departments, small businesses, individuals, and community organisations.
